I had a plan that let us get every major ride. We followed it for the first 1.5 hours but we kept getting delayed by shopping and toilet breaks and it was making me very irritable and a general cranky pants. I took some time to reset myself and throw the plan out the window. The day went much better from there. We will made our very own light sabers, we got character autographs, spent too much money, and got teary in the Star Wars area, thinking of how Aidan should have been here. Lexie got a little blue lightsaber for her bag because it made her think of daddy.
The middle of the day was stinking hot and hard to bear, but the morning and evening were fantastic. Disneyland is much bigger than Universal or at least we saw much more if it. Lots of walking! The kids had some amazing experiences and Charlie loved the train ride. It was really a great day, even with the cranky moments and sore feet.
